About the RoleJoin Unity Health Network as a Medical Assistant supporting patients and providers in a collaborative clinical environment. You'll provide direct patient care, assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with exams and procedures, and help coordinate a seamless patient experience.
Work Schedule: Must be available Monday-Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within established clinical standards, policies, protocols, and scope of practice.
- Assist physicians, mid-level healthcare professionals, and nurses with exams, procedures, diagnostic services, and treatments.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and proactively identify and communicate individual patient and family needs.
- Perform authorized clinical procedures, including vital signs, vision screenings, and selected laboratory tests.
- Prepare e-prescriptions for pharmacy processing when instructed by a physician and in accordance with policy.
- Clean and prepare instruments and equipment, and process properly labeled specimens for laboratory transport with appropriate orders entered in EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from one of the following agencies: NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, AMT, or NHA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $16.00-$29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
