Houskeeper/Laundry Supervisor

Full Time/Day Shift

Pay Range: $28.40 - $32.00

Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, assists in monitoring, coordinating, and assisting the work of housekeeping personnel in the performance of housekeeping, cleaning and laundry services by performing the following duties.

This position is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and leading housekeeping/laundry personnel in performing their duties.

Essential Functions:

The duties listed below are essential functions of the position that must be performed to effectively perform the position in at least an acceptable manner as defined by Front Porch. In the future, other duties may be assigned and considered essential functions of the position:

* Directs the work of housekeeping and laundry staff, making decisions based on immediate needs and coordinating these services with other departments.

* Oversee setups and breakdowns for all resident events, campus events, staff meetings, and in-services.

* Maintains presence in the housekeeping/laundry department to answer questions from residents, staff, vendors, and department heads and to respond to emergency and special housekeeping needs.

* Performs housekeeping, laundry, and custodial duties, makes deliveries, covers for absent staff, and inspects resident accommodations and any issues that may require immediate attention.

* Reports when equipment, structures, or furniture need repair.

* Conduct initial Housekeeping/Laundry departmental new employee orientation.

* Inventories, distributes, requisitions, and orders supplies and linens.

* Be mindful of budgetary guidelines to ensure the efficiency of expenditures and stay within budget limitations.

* Assist in any emergency calls when needed.

* Perform all other related duties as assigned.
