Job Summary
The job duties include to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Statistics such as Mathematical Statistics and Statistical Computing. Mentor and advise students. Conduct research in the field leading to publication. Participate in departmental, school and university-wide committees.

The position minimum education requirements are Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Possess research interest in Bayesian statistics, latent variable models, or information theory. Possess a record of scholarly achievement in top journals. Potential to successfully teach both in person and online.
Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics or related field. Possess research interest in Bayesian statistics, latent variable models, or information theory. Possess a record of scholarly achievement in top journals. Potential to successfully teach both in person and online.
Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
