The Resident Maintenance Supervisor will manage and advise the day-to-day performance of the material handling equipment supported by their specific team. This person's decisions can have a moderate to high-level impact on business operations. The customer site is in Fairburn, GA. This position is 11 pm Wednesday to 5 am Thursday, and Thursday 5 pm to 5 am Friday, 5 pm to 5 am and every other Saturday and Sunday 5 pm to 5 am. Overtime and weekend work is required. We offer:

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be$39.00 to $43.00 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What you will do in this role:

  • Using problem solving and critical thinking, key tasks include the following:

  • Lead, coordinate, and advise all functions of their report staff.

  • Perform at professional level to interpret/process more sophisticated, less-clearly defined issues.

  • Identify and resolve complex problems.

  • Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to gain optimum efficiency.

  • Participate in development of department budgets and business plans for functional areas.

  • Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures within own area of responsibility and communicate to the customer.

  • Identify resource needs and develop justification.

What we are looking for:

  • Associate's degree, technical degree, or 6 years of equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrate and apply broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s).

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.

  • Possess 5 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.

  • Have experience with the following technical abilities:

  • Allen-Bradley or equivalent PLC controls platforms

  • DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent network communications platform

  • Electrical skills to include fixing wiring, AC power, AC motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels

  • Servo Drives, PC controllers, DC power supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of automated equipment, preferably automated material handling systems

  • Mechanical experience

  • Lean Principles (4-Step Problem Solve, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)

  • Microsoft Office and G-Suite.

  • Able to evaluate and analyze:

System/equipment performance data:

  • Perform root cause analysis

  • Manage resolution of design-performance issues

Able to gauge, identify, and implement training based on skill assessment results.

  • Able to manage benchmarks and fault data using these methods:

  • Track and measure

  • Assess and interpret the data

  • Implement and direct improvement

  • Able to build reports and communication materials to supervise and report performance issues.

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of MHE for the client.
