Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting scholarly research in the area of entrepreneurship and/or strategy, and service to the university and profession.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Teach up to 9 semester hours of undergraduate or graduate courses, both on-campus and online. Teaching reduction is available for exceptional research performance. Time release and summer stipend is available to recent PhD. graduates.

• Research: Conduct scholarly research, primarily in the area of entrepreneurship, strategy and/or management, and publish in high-quality academic journals.

• Service: Actively contribute professional service to the Department of Management, the Miller College of Business, Ball State University, and the profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: ABD in entrepreneurship, strategic management or other business-related field from an accredited college or university.

• Experience: Evidence of scholarly research and teaching experience in business-related field.

• Teaching: At least one semester (four months) of higher education teaching experience in entrepreneurship, strategy, management or other business-related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching: At least one-year (9 months) of teaching experience in entrepreneurship, strategy, or other business-related field at the university level, including teaching experience with new technologies.

• Research: Significant record of publications in reputed refereed journals in entrepreneurship, strategy or management area as demonstrated by at least one published peer reviewed article and one presentation at a national/international conference.

• Service: Membership in professional management organizations

Required Certifications/Licensures:

Tenure is not automatic but depends upon excellent performance, budgetary consideration, tenure density, and the needs of the university.
