The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $135,533-$204,125 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.



Tasks and Qualifications:

Formulate and execute vision AI strategy. Obtain alignment from key stakeholders to define product roadmap for machine optimization uses cases. Frame and solve variety of intralogistics and planning problems with advanced analytics and AI techniques. See solution through full development cycle from inception to proof of concept, to MVP, to final product deployment. Ensure what is delivered meets business requirements. Work directly with real and synthetic data to train models and build data-driven solutions. Support the matter experts in commercial AI and autonomy solutions delivery. Identify and develop model-centric solutions architecture. Apply AI principles and technologies to solve and/or improve planning, automation, search, classification, recommendation, prediction, and optimization problems arising from the need to streamline supply chain operations, sometimes involving synthesis of components in production. Keep abreast of state-of-the art techniques and educate junior scientist. Write white paper for each completed solution and disseminate to executives. Identify novel application of AI to Dematic problem and pursue filing of patent. Design and build simulation tools of intralogistics processes to train and test models. Design and build statistical forecasting and machine learning models. Lead and mentor team of junior scientists.

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years' experience as an AI Scientist, AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Optimization Engineer, Automation Engineer, Data Scientist, Operations Research Analyst, Software Engineer or closely related occupation. Also requires 2 years' experience with developing AI/ML solutions under Agile methodologies and CI/CD; practicing asset control and documentation-Git, Confluence; using AI and Data Science frameworks: Pandas, PyTorch, Tensorflow/Keras, MXNET, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Numpy, fast.ai, Tensorboard, Ignite, Weights & Biases; delivering models into production - CNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, Ensemble Classifiers; using CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow-or similar; and identifying and working with applicable key open-source SDKs, frameworks, and tools.
