The CT Technologist performs CT examinations for use in diagnosis of patient conditions, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within
  • Correctly positions patients for CT examinations. Observe both normal and abnormal anatomy physiology, transferring significant observations for later review and diagnosis by radiologist/physician
  • Adjusts equipment to achieve optimal image resolution, perform regular calibration, informing department manager of need for outside service
  • Assists radiologist by gathering appropriate patient information that will aid them in choosing the correct exam protocol
  • Completes procedures necessary to document examination and findings and to capture appropriate patient charges
  • Coordinates scheduling of CT examinations with Radiologist and office personnel to insure smooth patient flow
  • Ensures patient care while the patient is in CT
  • Performs IV starts and discontinuations in accordance with the Clinic's IV Starts/IV Discontinuation policy
  • Maintains appropriate inventory of exam supplies and patient care items
  • Adheres to the principles of ALARA radiation exposures

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid appropriate license issued by the State of Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
  • Valid ARRT CT credentials
  • Certified by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Experience or education that allows meeting the requirements of the Corvallis Clinic's Peripheral IV Start/IV Discontinuation policy within six weeks of employment
  • Proven knowledge of human anatomy, radiation exposures, and radiation safety
  • Ability to work compatibly with physicians, patients, and other staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of working in a CT Department of similar complexity to the Clinic's
  • Current experience on a multi-slice CT platform
  • Current experience with a CT data post processing program

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
