Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year's previous experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees of the organization. Ability to speak in a clear audible voice. Mathematical Skills:
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required. Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required. Ability to carry out safety and emergency procedures. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand/walk, sit, talk and requires use of hands to feel and handle, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally will lift and/or move more than 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Receptionist may be exposed to controlled temperatures. Receptionist may be required to work with cleaning chemicals. Work area is exposed to chemical fumes and smoke. Also, may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the cast member regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The cast member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The cast member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Bally's Casino Shreveport from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Spa Attendants with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally's Casino Shreveport disciplinary procedures. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Spa Receptionists may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Upon employment, Spa Receptionists are required to fully comply with Bally's Casino Shreveport policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Company facilities. Spa Receptionists who violate Company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action. Education
