The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on industrial material handling equipment. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the (Gig Harbor, WA) site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. This role will be working Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33 to $40 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
- Perform repair and maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
- Apply electrical test equipment for diagnosing and repairing electrical circuitry.
- Build and close work orders in the asset management system, accurately detailing labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Address conveyance problems, determining and implementing the necessary resources to resolve them.
- Manage and coordinate spare parts inventory.
- Conduct sophisticated maintenance and equipment testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support customer training initiatives, ensuring they can operate equipment efficiently.
- Respond promptly to service calls, addressing equipment failures and faults effectively.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively as they arise.
What We Are Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required; an Associate's degree or vocational technical training is beneficial. Certification in niche skills is preferred.
- A senior-level knowledge base with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience and successful demonstration of responsibilities and key tasks listed above.
- Strong customer-facing skills with professional communication abilities, both via email and in-person, with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
- Leadership capabilities in managing projects, teams, and advising on day-to-day operations and tasks.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Regular engagement in physical activities such as bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Capacity to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Adaptability to working conditions including small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, varying temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for extended periods, and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Strong background in PLC and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
