Associate Director, Government Pricing & Reporting

Overview

The Associate Director, Government Pricing and Reporting, will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and supporting the submission of product and pricing data for federal and state government pricing programs along with the management of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Federal Supply Schedule.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyze and validate all government pricing metrics prior to monthly and quarterly submission to various federal and state government agencies.

* Collaborate with Alnylam functions to align all source system data identified in the data reconciliation, validation process and elsewhere prior to metrics being calculated.

* Work with Accounting and Commercial functions to analyze rebate and chargeback data for government pricing calculations ensuring proper classification for inclusion or exclusion in the government pricing calculations.

* Create analytics, graphs, and slides that show trends in the government pricing data and answer business questions by using the government pricing data to present to Executive Leadership.

* Ensure obligations under the current Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract, including annual negotiation of FSS prices and reporting are met in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and the Veterans Health Care Act.

* Ensure PHS 340B prices are calculated correctly and are loaded into the contract/chargeback system in a timely fashion.

* Manage the Medicare Drug Rebate Program.

* Maintain appropriate written and electronic documentation consistent with approved policy and various compliance requirements including documentation consistent with state and federal requirements.

* Implement new policies and/or calculation methodology changes as required.

* Conduct and provide meaningful analysis to the organization on issues relative to government pricing to support informed business decisions as new contract strategies are presented.

* Actively monitor government pricing regulations as they relate to payer, IDN, policy, competitor, and market conditions to inform critical decisions and potential impacts to reimbursement as well as Federal pricing helping shape future access strategies.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Pre-Law or other degrees appropriate to this area of responsibility.

* 7-10 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, or Government Pricing (preferred).

* Financial and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy are necessary to ensure compliance with timelines, internal policies, laws and regulations.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills.

* Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills

* Collaborative approach and ability to work across functions.

* Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.

* Ability to work independently.

* Attention to detail and deadlines, and a history of adherence to policies and procedures are critical.
