Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistician to provide full life cycle logistics support for all types of combatant craft, boats, watercraft, amphibious vessels/vehicles, Patrol Coastal Class ships, specialty craft/vessels, life rafts, inflatable craft, unmanned vessels/vehicles, and associated craft and mission systems to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division's Combatant Craft Division.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Logistician develops, initiates, integrates and manages all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of watercraft systems, subsystems and equipment within Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division's Combatant Craft Division. The Senior Logistician will support integrated logistics process, developing policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Senior Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited college or university

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in:
    • Developing Product Support Packages
    • Coordinating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for systems and equipment directly related to watercraft
    • Proven ability to develop and synchronize support across multiple watercraft configurations and systems
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Experience with:

      • Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS)

      • Obsolescence Management

      • Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)

      • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

      • Configuration Management (CM)

      • Related training systems

  • Clearance: Must possess an active Secret Clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under project deadlines.
  • Experience supporting test and evaluation of maritime mechanical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include logistical support in one or more of the following in support of watercraft engineering and marine services programs:

  • Conduct Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) analysis, including:

    • Evaluation of testing results

    • Service histories and records of successful use in similar applications

    • Planned maintenance requirements

  • Develop and execute Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Cost (RAM-C) program planning

  • Perform Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and maintain supporting documentation

  • Implement and maintain a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)

  • Perform and document Maintainability Predictions

  • Conduct a Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) program
