Senior Business Analyst

Nakupuna Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to support the Department of the Navy (DON) Office of the Chief Management Officer (OCMO) in Arlington, Virginia. The Business Analyst will support the Department of the Navy Office of the Chief Management Officer in their efforts to develop a senior executive-level business intelligence solution.

• Support in the execution of a business intelligence/dashboarding solution for use at the highest levels in the DON.
• Collaborate between the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Financial Management Systems organizations to migrate all authoritative DON data sources into the Jupiter data environment, and to leverage those data sources to produce dashboards and visualizations for identified focus areas and strategic outcomes.
• OCMO and their partner organizations facilitate workshops to identify the personas (consumers of the solution), data elements, and essential data sources for migration into Jupiter.
• Will assist DON OCMO with project organization and management efforts and in the facilitation of meetings and workshops for identified DON stakeholders. The CDO office uses a "constellation" process for facilitating meetings and workshops and it is expected that the candidate will be trained in that process.
• Will work as a member of the Nakupuna Solutions project team in their efforts to develop dashboard and visualization solutions.
• Must be able to attend meetings and workshops at the Pentagon, as needed or required.

Skills/ Qualifications: Critical thinking is a must. The ideal candidate is able to comprehend complex topics related to the DON mission areas and translate ideas and concepts into actionable tasks. An understanding of data environments and data modeling concepts are key components for this position, as well as, a strong background in meeting facilitation.

• Familiarity with the Department of Navy organizations.
• Expert with meeting facilitation and business process analysis.
• Experience with data modeling concepts and an understanding of information technology environments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Expert analytical, problem-solving skills, with experience with exercising high professional judgment.
• Proficient in Visio and Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis in PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in business, information technology or an equivalent related field
• About 7 years of professional experience in meeting and workshop facilitation.

Certification Requirements: Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred.

Clearance: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
