Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level I&C Engineer to join the team based onsite at Arizona Public Services, Palo Verde Nuclear plant. Responsibilities
A typical day may include collaborating in project meetings, ensure timely execution of design projects, and helping teammates with your expertise in digital systems. You will also be able to:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of I&C engineering experience
- Knowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platforms
- Experience in the design, installation, and testing of large scale (complete systems) digital control and computer monitoring system upgrades at power plants
- Types of upgrades include replacement of Turbine/Generator Control Systems with DCS platforms, process computer, and cybersecurity systems
- Direct involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT/SAT test procedure development, installation, and testing
- Working knowledge of the application of current regulatory and industry digital upgrade standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and problem identification/resolution
- Must be able to access client sites to conduct walkdowns
