The Security and Incident Management Specialist is responsible for development, implementation, and execution of AmFam Group's full-spectrum security apparatus and incident response capability. The specialist is responsible for strategy, policy, and plan development that ensures a safe and secure work environment for enterprise equities by integrating systematic processes for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery actions. Your work includes oversight and direction of contractor-supplied 24/7 Security Operations Center and Uniformed Guard Force resources, utilization of complex security infrastructure and intelligence management technologies, and enterprise-level coordination of standard operating procedures and industry best practices. You will report to the Senior Manager, Risk, Intelligence, Investigation & Incident Response.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders in response to threats, violent acts, and illicit activity against AmFam Group employees, assets, and/or critical infrastructure, to include risk analysis and mitigation strategies, policies and procedures, response planning, exercise planning, and employee education and awareness efforts.
  • You may serve as initial or eventual incident commander for any tier 3, 2, or 1 incident and will integrate incident response activities with the Corporate Incident Management Team (CIMT).
  • You will collect, assess, and disseminate intelligence information necessary to make real-time decisions regarding specific and emerging threats - make recommendations for situation-specific security postures.
  • You will independently conduct periodic internal and external facility audits to identify and evaluate threats and vulnerabilities and conduct risk assessments with minimal supervision to ensure compliance with associated corporate, local, state, and federal standards.
  • You will develop and participate in security related training and drills with the staff, employees, and local law enforcement agencies. Assist in development and execution of the Public/Private Partnership (P3) program.
  • You will direct, coordinate and control the management of physical security assets to provide for the protection of all AmFam Group personnel, facilities and assets and establish standard operating procedures and incident response plans for enterprise offices.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to propose and develop facility-specific security solutions, implement security best practices, and guide our architecture toward an enterprise-wide and customer-oriented security posture. Ensure the consideration of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles in security design projects.
  • You will develop and operationalize a comprehensive, practical, company-wide emergency and crisis management/incident response program that is focused equally on prevention and response.
  • You will develop and maintain an Employee Preparedness program that seeks to engage employees on awareness of safety and security programs.
  • You will serve as an auxiliary medical response coordinator during medical incidents. Obtain certification as a Medical First Responder, to include administering CPR and First Aid, as well as being trained in the use of Automatic External Defibrillators and bleeding control.
  • You will participate in a rotating schedule of "24/7 on-call" assignments.
  • You will travel to corporate facilities roughly 30% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience providing physical security, surveillance, emergency response, incident management, de-escalation, and great customer service.
  • Experience translating highly complex scenarios that can be easily understood by internal and external business partners.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience mining data sources and look for trends, analyze data and recommend solutions for reducing risk, identifying threats, and collecting critical information.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external teams on risk analysis and mitigation strategies, policies and procedures, response planning, exercise planning, and education/awareness efforts based on multiple sources of threat intelligence.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office - Visio, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel roughly 30% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking, prolonged periods of standing, traversing stairs, ability to lift and move heavy objects, impact weapons, exposure to inclement weather, and potential special circumstance use of firearms at leader discretion.
  • Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs, and feet must be sufficiently intact and functioning in order that applicants may perform the duties satisfactorily.
  • Since the duties of these positions are exacting and responsible, and involve activities under trying conditions, applicant must possess emotional and mental stability.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month in Madison, WI 53783
