This newly created position will support our Claims organization in developing new predictive and prescriptive models, leveraging generative AI to enhance business processes and capabilities.
Develop, analyzes and models operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data to measure the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. Analyze organizational data to recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop strategies, measure the competitive performance of our operations and markets; model and evaluate the potential impact of changes.

Position Compensation Range:

$123,000.00 - $209,000.00

Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Creates business application and modeling framework, for new datasets, and discovers insights and relationships from large/complex datasets through investigative research using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques.
  • Explores data using a variety of advanced statistical techniques to identify relationships, create insights and answer business questions or guide future model development.
  • Build the hypothesis, identify research data attributes and determine best approach to address business issues.
  • Combine business acumen with mathematical capabilities to build complex predictive models to support our goals.
  • Build complex programs for running mathematical or statistical tests on data and for understanding complex relationships across attributes.
  • Bring innovative ideas and approaches to develop business solutions.
Requirements:
  • You will bring your Python skills, cloud computing (GCP), and experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), geared toward Large Language Models (LLM).
  • You should have an MS in Data Science/Statistics with 4-years of related experience or a PhD with 2-years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages suitable for model development, scripting, statistical analysis, and system development.
  • Understanding of software development best practices including source control, coding standards and testing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience formulating complex analytical problems using a quantitative, scientific approach.
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex datasets using big data technologies and script.

You will be employed by AFICS, Inc. (American Family Insurance Claims Services, Inc.), an affiliate of American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I.
