Marketing Description
The Marketing Manager develops and maintains marketing strategies to meet company objectives for Everlast Climbing, Dero and Aragon through effective marketing activities and business development. This position is also responsible for new product development for Everlast Climbing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through the following: 1. Plans marketing and branding objectives in line with the Strategic Plan 2. Conducts detailed and thorough research and analysis of competitor's products to anticipate trends and determine gaps in the industry for possible new products 3. Researches additional channels (online, distribution, etc.) to increase and expand presence in marketplace 4. Conducts ongoing analysis of current product line SKUs and pricing 5. Maintains budgeted product margins on all new and existing products 6. Develops and manages innovative and effective new products to support company growth and maintains the product development schedule (Everlast Climbing) 7. Conducts product training for the sales team, catalogers and distributors 8. Develops product usage and installation instructions and maintains updated database of instructions 9. Manages marketing budget associated with marketing projects, tracking project costs to control expenses 10. Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses and new product information 11. Effectively plans and executes all aspects of company's trade show attendance 12. Represents company at tradeshows and association meetings 13. Delivers education outreach sessions and presentations 14. Updates content on company websites and blogs 15. Manages email marketing program, advertising & promotions campaigns and PR efforts 16. Creates and manages social media postings 17. Monitors, reviews and reports on all marketing activity and results 18. Prepares and/or updates product literature, price lists, flyers, guides, advertising, signage, etc. - both print and digital 19. Assists with photo and video shoots 20. Manages four staff members 21. Education and/or Experience * BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or related discipline * Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing management role Travel Moderate Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents and reports. Must have excellent writing skills and ability to effectively speak before groups of customers and/or employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and graphic design software (Adobe Suite). Experience with CRM and ERP systems, preferred.
