Slitter Operator (2330)

AVAILABLE SHIFTS: 5PM-5AM We are looking for a Slitter Machine operator to work out of our PolyMaskPlant locatedin Aurora.

This position is for 12 hrsshift 5 am-5 pm, and 5pm-5am, 40 -48 hrsa week.

Summary:Theprimary role of a slitter Operator is setting-up and operatinga slitting machine to cut rolls of Protective Film to documented specifications and/or winding or rewinding as necessary to ensure optimumsafety, quality and production while minimizing cost, energy, and waste in our team-based environment.

NOTE: Detailed instructions for the task of Slitter Operation are provided in Work Instruction WP5 - Slitter Setup, Operation, and Shut-down.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesincludethe following. Other duties may be assigned.

  Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and making an effortto improve the Environmental Health and Safety performance of our facility.

  Set-up and operateAdhesive Coating machines to efficiency, qualityand order specifications.

  
  
• 
  

  Make quality checks

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain visual workplace standards.

  
  
• 
  

  Complete required paperwork including visual check sheets and run condition sheets

  
  
• 
  

  Monitors and maintainsquality by looking for defects in the products

  
  
• 
  

  Safely operateJib hoists and pallet jacks

  
  
• 
  

  Meets established production goals

  
  
• 
  

  Enters production data in SAP

  
  
• 
  

  Actively participatein all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives

  Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment
