Park City Surgery Center is a leading healthcare facility committed to providing exceptional patient care and medical services. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in all aspects of our operations. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Receiving and Inventory Coordinator.

Position Overview: The Receiving and Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our healthcare facility by managing the receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:




  1. Receiving and Inspection:



    • Receive deliveries of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
    • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
    • Verify quantities received against purchase orders and packing slips.
    • Document and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate personnel.



  2. Inventory Management:



    • Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems.
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts.
    • Rotate stock and manage expiration dates to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify areas for improvement.



  3. Storage and Distribution:



    • Properly store and organize medical supplies and equipment in designated storage areas.
    • Ensure that storage areas are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations.
    • Prepare and pack items for distribution to various departments within the facility.
    • Coordinate with department heads to fulfill special requests and urgent needs.



  4. Documentation and Reporting:



    • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all receiving and inventory activities.
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and procurement needs.
    • Communicate effectively with purchasing, finance, and other departments to facilitate procurement processes.
    • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to inventory management.



  5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:



    • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to inventory management and storage.
    • Participate in quality assurance activities, including inspections and audits.
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and internal auditors during inspections and assessments.
    • Implement best practices for inventory control and recommend process improvements as needed.





Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
