Summary

The Weld Associate 2 will be responsible when fixtures are not available, will be required to lay the part out per blueprint specs and weld part.

May also perform job duties: Assembles a variety of standard and non-standard fixtures and related tooling. Ensures weld fixtures function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Designs and creates fixture details and holding devices. May be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Other duties include Weld Associate 1, layout tables, landmark design, stainless steel and robot operator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through manufacturing a quality fixture or laying out and tacking quality parts to be painted and/or shipped to the customer.
  2. Manage the daily work flow of the lay out table and production of customer orders
  3. Safety: Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations by all employees
  4. Quality: interpret blueprints and make part and/or fixture within the tolerance
  5. Productivity: Produce parts by the order on LMS; Maintain utilization specified by supervisor
  6. Coordinate with Material Handler for the next fixture and material(s) needed
  7. Oversee the necessary repairs to existing fixtures
  8. Report any discrepancy to QA and Supervisor; claim their daily production into LMS;
  9. Dexterity: Employee would work with their hands, and need to be able to lift or hold heavy items
  10. Other duties may be assigned by Manager, Supervisor, and Lead.

Education and/or Experience



  • Prefer a minimum of one year manufacturing experience mig welding



Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills to pull up and view blueprints and view and claim shop orders.

Other Skills



  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to operate mig welder
  • Must be able to pass Quality Assurance's internal test requirements for mild steel and galvanized welding
