RN- Employee Health Office

Position Summary:


Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources Operations and Employee Health contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to new and injured/ill team members. Effectively coordinates and manages the injured/ill worker. Conducts all pre and post hire screenings, immunizations, and/or physicals as needed and assures regulatory compliance with JC, IDPH, OSHA, CDC, and any other regulatory bodies. Assists with the development, administration, and evaluation of UnityPoint Health - Central Illinois Employee Health Programs.


Qualifications:


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License upon hire or in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois uon hire.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of one-year clinical experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Work may occasionally require travel to other Carle Health May drive personal or rental vehicle.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Excellent clinical skills and ability to address health related problems. Ability to provide assessment and care to a population that includes adult and geriatric patient.Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point and ability to effectively utilize internet


Essential Functions:

  • New Hire Assessment & ComplianceCoordinates and facilitates the new employee, pre-placement process, ensuring new hires are cleared to work meeting the organization requirements. Reviews and coordinates vaccination education, administration, and follow up.Provides immunizations as required and requested by new hire or employee.Documents all information into employee health software and employee health chart.Communicates with new hire and talent acquisition team as needed for updates through the process.
  • Post Injury Follow UpReviews injuries with employees and makes appropriate referrals to outside agencies for follow-up care.Submits required information of injury to Worker's Compensation Third Party AdministratorMay assist in coordinating placement of team members requiring alternate duty assignments, working closely with management staff to promote positive outcomes.Communicates with employee, healthcare providers, and leadership team throughout the post injury process.
  • Coordinates Annual Employee Health ProgramsCoordinates and administers annual Flu vaccination programsCoordinates annual Respiratory Fit Testing trackingEnsures appropriate record keeping for all programs.Ensures programs meet all organizational and regulatory requirements.
