Job Description

Title: Lead

Reports to: Plant Manager

Shift: 3rd

Responsibility: Provide Leadership to all assigned employees in scheduling, training, communication and teamwork. Meet company standards for Quality and Productivity.

Requirements:

  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments as directed, accept leadership to perform in a self-directed environment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to change direction easily and multi-task when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal employees.
  • No warnings for attendance or performance for the last year.
  • Ability and confidence to make a decision, good or bad.

Specific Duties:

  • Schedule throughput of product.
  • Read, Interpret, and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate with Supervisors/Managers to work out issues in order to assure that a satisfactory product is produced in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work and interface with all levels of plant personnel, solve problems and promote good customer relations.
  • Perform quality checks (SPC, visual etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and make recommendations to Supervisor/Manager for revisions to current procedures.
  • Complete hands on work and assist throughout department when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, and assure compliance with all safety rules.
  • Employee will place hazardous waste into satellite accumulation drums.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
