Klune Industries was founded in 1972 in Southern California. More than forty years later, Klune Industries is a preferred supplier to the aerospace and defense industries offering end-to-end solutions for aerospace and defense including sheet metal forming, machining, and assemblies. Klune Industries was acquired by Precision Castparts Corp. in August, 2012.

Position Summary:

Level One - Working under direct supervision, level one fitters perform basic fitting setups using jigs and fixtures, basic hand tools as well as perform basic visual and mechanical inspections. They will demonstrate the ability to interpret work instructions and prints, as well as possess competencies in basic shop math, i.e. fractions and decimals. Typically 0-1 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • With minimal supervision perform a verity of basic fitting tasks such as loading raw material onto fixtures, jigs, and other fitting equipment.
  • Perform basic material fitting operations using basic fitting equipment and tools according to customer specification.
  • Perform basic visual and mechanical inspection operations to insure component material fitting to customer specification.
  • Maintain area organization and cleanliness through-out shift.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to use basic hand tools and fitting tools such as clamps, stands and jigs.
  • Basic print reading & weld symbol interpretation.
  • The ability to use basic inspection tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers and feeler gauges to complete required inspection procedures.
  • Basic trouble shooting concerning fitting processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Required Experience:

  • This position requires no previous experience, but experience working with mechanical processes and methods, concentrating on weld fitting and preparation is preferred.
  • 0-1 years of experience

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $16.00 to $23.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 103 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
