Title: Facilities Management Coordinator Executive Area: Administration and Finance College/School/MBU: Facilities & Campus Services Department: FCS Admin Services Work Location: Amherst Schedule: Full time Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Summary The Facilities Management Coordinator (FMC) is the primary point of contact between Facilities & Campus Services (F&CS) and the UMass Amherst campus community. The FMC facilitates communication between customers and campus service providers/external service providers to establish job scope, clarity expectations, obtain funding, troubleshoot problems, and resolve complaints. Essential Functions Acts as the principal facilities advisor for an area of assigned campus customers. Develops priorities and becomes a familiar point of contact with departmental representatives. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Communication, and two (2) years' experience in construction, higher education facilities management, or customer service OR an Associate's Degree, preferably in Business Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Communication, and four (4) years' experience in construction, higher education facilities management, or customer service. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the methods used in planning, estimating, and scheduling work. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday-Friday, First Shift.
