Maintenance Mechanic

SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Maintenance Manager, the facility Maintenance Mechanic will perform a complete range of maintenance activities including repair and service of plant equipment. The associate uses considerable independent judgment in making decisions with minimal degree of supervisory involvement. Facility Maintenance Mechanic will follow safety practices while working with preventive and productive maintenance systems to meet team and company goals.

  • Starting hourly pay of$25 - low $30s/hour, based on knowledge and demonstrated skill

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Gains knowledge on all basic production equipment in the plant.
  • Performs final assemblies on all equipment and pre-flight.
  • Maintains equipment using PM systems performing basic mechanical adjustments.
  • Maintains accurate, precise records where required. This to include equipment logs, communication logs, PM sheets, job orders, etc.
  • Anticipates problems and takes corrective action prior to equipment failure.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years' experience required; prior industrial mechanical experience preferred.
  • Lifting requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • TPM experience preferred.

YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic computer experience required.
  • Show basic knowledge of lubrication, fasteners, and correct use of tools.
