This is an excellent opportunity for an Philanthropy Coordinator (40 hrs. /wk., benefits eligible) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Philanthropy Coordinator provides direct programmatic and administrative support to the Philanthropy department, including but not limited to fielding donor calls, managing the donor acknowledgment process, and support for donor engagement activities and mail solicitations. The Philanthropy Coordinator will also be responsible for general administrative support duties for department-wide activities and initiatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of 2 years of office/customer service experience required.
* Associate degree preferred.
* Experience working donors and volunteers preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine, adding machine and calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment but involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is generally low. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Occasional hours, evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of donor relationships through customer service, staffing donor engagement activities and events, and data clean-up activities.
  • Support in managing the department electronic and paper filing systems to support department functionality and to preserve institutional knowledge.
  • Provide proposal tracking support to the frontline fundraising team as requested.
  • Manage incoming communications from external stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues and monitor to ensure responsiveness as necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating fundraising events and donor cultivation events as needed.
  • Support the stewarding of donors through the mailing of donor engagement materials, including support of the year end mailing, newsletters and appeals.
  • Support data requests from PPWI staff.
  • Coordinate Philanthropy Department team and other internal meetings, developing agendas, taking notes, and handling all logistics.
  • Support strategic department initiatives and basic administrative needs for the Philanthropy Team, such as ordering office supplies, making copies, and organizing team outings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
