Position Summary:

In conjunction with the Business Development team, the Sales Engineer will support the team with Imagine Dotti platform introductions, capabilities, demonstrations, and technical requirements. Dotti is an Imagine all-in-one print management software solution that allows customers to easily manage their print production projects andin-store marketingprograms with complete control and visibility every step of the way. This role will act as the conduit between IT and the Sales Development functions, as it relates to Dotti sales and customer demonstrations and training of functionality and features and responding to customer inquiries.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:



  • Act as the subject matter expert on the Dotti platform, from development to implementation
  • Assist in developing a technical sales strategy
  • Develop and deliver technical product presentations/demonstrations used to engage customers and prospects and educate sales teams on functionality/services offered
  • Partner with development team to determine how products/services could be designed or modified to best suit the customer's needs
  • Analyze customers' technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources
  • Attend sales calls to demo technology and serve as SME on capabilities, technical requirements, etc.
  • Keep current on the market and changes that may impact Imagine's technology services
  • Provide technical training for customer employees
  • Use technical knowledge of product offerings to advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements
  • Participate in product, sales and role-specific trainings, as part of continuing education and expertise development
  • Assist in responding effectively to requests for proposals from customers (RFPs)
  • Research prospect's business/technology prior to engaging with the prospect


Mandatory Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of related experience


  • Experience in creating and delivering effective sales presentations and training
  • Proven results of delivering customer solutions for growth


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a Sales Engineering role representing web-based technology solutions
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Familiarity with programming languages, databases, networking, and other relevant technical skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific technologies and trends
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand customer needs and articulate how the technology meets those needs
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and market conditions
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on new developments in the industry
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Ability to identify and solve technical problems for customers
  • Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, product managers, and other departments
  • Team player with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues
  • Ability to effectively communicate and drive results with customers
  • In-depth understanding of Imagine's key customers and their position in the industry
