Staff Research Associate I

Description The Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging is seeking to hire a motivated Staff Research Associate I to assist with and maintain the imaging center's operations of PET, CT, MRI, and optical scanners, and associated equipment used with small animal imaging research as main duties. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining sufficient stock of reagents/supplies as needed. Additional tasks include assisting with regulatory aspects including radiation safety, biosafety, and chemical safety, some oversight of animal use (ARC and DLAM) protocols, and generating billing.
Target hourly rate: $25.75-$30.71
Qualifications Required:
* Basic understanding of biology, animal physiology, and molecular imaging research;
* Basic knowledge of 3D design and 3D printing;
* Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis;
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, postdocs, and students about basic imaging theory, techniques and protocols;
* Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines; Experienced in working with small animals; Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc;
* Skilled at writing reports and working with spreadsheets, databases, and email;
* Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed; Knowledge of Radiation Safety requirements.
