Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Kettle Coordinator Role is to provide direct support to the Corps Officer and/or Service Center Manager during the Christmas Kettle Season with Christmas Kettle programs, activities, and initiatives.

Essential Functions



  • Assist in cultivating and maintaining kettle locations and associated relationships
  • Conduct Red Kettle Orientation for employees and volunteers
  • Prepare proper paperwork for all seasonal kettle employees and volunteers
  • Accurately enter and maintain all required kettle records, information, and statistics into designated software applications
  • Recruit, schedule and assign kettle workers, volunteers, and community groups to kettle locations to ensure optimal kettle coverage and net income
  • Maintain an inventory of all kettle equipment, ensure any broken equipment is reported, repaired, and replaced as necessary
  • Prepare the daily kettle driver route schedule for kettle locations, serving as the primary kettle driver as required
  • Ensure adherence to Red Kettle Agreements with kettle locations
  • Respond to any concerns and/or complaints received by stores "Red Kettle" locations
  • Provide supervision and training for kettle workers as required
  • Prepare kettle income for deposit and make bank deposits in compliance with Salvation Army policy and procedures
  • On time regular attendance is a must.
  • Other duties as assigned related to kettles and Christmas activities.


Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax, and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2-year clerical experience.
  • Previous Kettle experience a plus.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Bilingual in-service location language a plus.

Experience
Previous Kettle Experience. (preferred)
1 - 2 years: Minimum Clerical Experience. (required)
