Position Summary

Support the Corps Officer during the kettle season with various kettle activities. Schedule volunteers for kettle ringing at various sites.

Essential Functions



  • Conduct kettle orientation for employees and volunteers.
  • Recruit and assign volunteers, social clubs to various kettle locations.
  • Prepare kettle schedules, daily assign volunteers.
  • Take inventory of kettle equipment, ensure any broken equipment is reported and replaced, if necessary.
  • Prepare schedule route for kettle driver.
  • Respond to any kettle site complaints.
  • Other duties as needed.


Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax, and telephone.

Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 clerical experience.
  • Kettle experience a plus.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

  • Read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Understand Salvation Army Mission.

1 - 2 years: Minimum Clerical Experience. (required)
