DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Design and develop software for the use and implementation of video game features and technology using high-level programming languages, tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware architects, designers, and engineers to help develop software for display systems.
  • Architect, design, and implement the display driver stack for use with current and future products.
  • Develop and refine the existing and future display software stack to ensure compliance with various display standards and specifications.
  • Research and champion new features and technologies capable of being successfully deployed in massively used gaming consoles.
  • Enhance overall picture quality through image processing and Tone mapping techniques.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of real-time interactive platform technologies and industry related trends.
  • Design, develop, and debug multi-process and multi-threaded applications using skills in C and C++ embedded development.
  • Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field , and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in display engineering for a multinational company, including experience in:
  • Designing and implementing software stacks to enable display features, ensuring alignment with product requirements and display standards, using DP and DSI;
  • Developing and debugging multi-threaded, multi-process applications in embedded and Linux-based software systems using C and C++, and scripting, automating, and testing using software development tools, including Python;
  • Performing unit testing, system testing, and troubleshooting using bug tracking tools, including JIRA, to identify, categorize, and resolve software defects;
  • Applying color science and color management principles to implement color processing pipelines.
This position is ONSITE in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.

This position includes a base salary range of $212,202 to $219,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
