Fireworks by Grucci is a sixth generation, eleven-time World Record breaking international fireworks entertainment company that has been lighting up the skies since 1850. We have performed firework displays, for many of the world's notable events such as: Olympics, Presidential Inaugurals; and concerts such as EDC. Located on the Radford Army Ammunition Plant for over twenty-five years, we also partner with the Department of Defense through our sister company Pyrotechnique by Grucci. Not only do we create wonderment in the sky with our precision pyrotechnic performances, but we also support our troops through the manufacturing and distribution of a range of munitions and simulations.

We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to perform various tasks assisting with daily workflow. Duties include preparation of equipment for Fireworks by Grucci's fireworks displays, loading and unloading trucks, preparing display set pieces, and transporting equipment trucks (for qualified individuals).

POSITION IS SEASONAL - FULL-TIME HOURS NOW - END OF JULY

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS include but not limited to:

1. Good verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.

2. Demonstrate ability to work successfully with different personalities and communication styles.

3. Team player with a solid work ethic and consistent follow-through.

4. Availability and willingness to work select evenings and some weekends as needed.

5. Warehouse experience required

6. Receiving experience helpful.

7. Experience using a forklift required

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks as necessary.

9. Strong focus on meeting deadlines.

10. Excellent research and problem-solving skills.

11. Be able to work with little supervision.

12. Must possess a valid driver's license.

13. Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.

14. Must be able to receive clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).

15. CDL class A or B with Haz-Mat endorsement, preferred or will need to obtain within I year of employment.

JOB DUTIES include but not limited to:

1. Assist Shipping & Receiving Team Leader on all incoming receiving duties.

2. Perform receiving transactions int the scanners to assist in performing the receiving duties.

3. Perform physical verifications for all inventory stored at the facility.

4. Receive inventory packing lists to prepare shipments needed at the Radford facility.

5. Perform material handling duties to support any production in the facility.

6. Cross train in the Radford facility when necessary to provide backup to the Material Handling Staff.

7. Participate in fireworks testing and/or show site setup to understand the equipment.

8. Assist in transporting materials back and forth to the Radford facility.

9. Assist in picking trucks up from the rental locations to load at the facilities.

10. Load and unload equipment trucks using handheld loading equipment, pallet jacks, and forklift.

11. Work with other assistants to verify all equipment returns.

12. Store various equipment in designated locations.

13. Wear necessary safety equipment at all times, when inside the warehouse.

14. Prepare, package, and label equipment and product for firework displays based on packing lists.

15. Inspect, construct, maintain, and repair all equipment as needed.

16. Test, repair, and clean electronic equipment.

17. Assist in building set pieces for firework displays.

18. Complete all required paperwork such as checklists, packing lists, and inventory forms according to company policies

19. and procedures.

20. Perform general cleaning tasks, such as garbage disposal and other custodial duties, when asked.

21. Assist the team in keeping our Warehouse and the surrounding grounds neat and organized.

22. Assist in physical inventories and in loading and unloading trucks and containers and perform cycle counts and audit counts.

23. Abide by all company policies and procedures and comply with all governmental laws and regulations.

24. Obeys all company work and safety rules.

25. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to move throughout the facility throughout the course of the workday.

2. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time.
