Data Science Intern What will you be Doing:

This position will have responsibility for supporting the data science team with product development and analytics research and development. Apply knowledge of statistics, programming, data modeling, and other mathematical techniques to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. This individual will be responsible for supporting analyses alongside a Principal Data Scientist and Product Directors/Senior Directors and Architecture. This individual may be expected to execute complex analytic protocols under the guidance of these senior team leaders and be able and willing to gain proficiency with new methodologies over time. Deploy knowledge of healthcare datasets, including electronic health record, administrative billing, and post-adjudicated claims datasets. Work with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation.

Years of Applicable Experience - 0 or more years

Skills & Experience:

Data Modeling, Health Data, Structured Query Language (SQL)

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Experience to include:

  • Data Standardization
  • Regression modeling
  • Applied Statistical modeling
  • Exposure to R/Tidyverse and Python a plus

Education:

  • Rising junior or senior for bachelor candidates or master's degree students in their final year

Premier's internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
