Staff Accountant II

What will you be doing:

The Staff Accountant II will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The Accountant is responsible for daily review of invoices, preparing monthly journal entries, performing monthly analytic explanations, preparing various reports, as well as producing financial reporting package(s) for their assigned division(s). The Accountant also reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly and participates in fixed asset tracking and annual inventory counts. All activites will be performed to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and professionalism is required to interact with various levels of management. This position must exercise independence in managing ad hoc projects while exercising good judgment about elevating questions or key issues to management for guidance.

Skills & Experience:

Accounting Journal Entries, Financial Statements, Monthly Close Process

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Experience to include:

  • General knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and audit of public companies
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and deadlines with little supervision. Ability to deal well with ambiguity and shift gears quickly and comfortably.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Premier's internal salary range for this role is $51,000 - $95,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
