As the Private Banking Officer, you may look forward to:

  • Bringing new private banking relationships to the bank to meet stated deposit income and ancillary product sales objectives.
  • Servicing existing portfolio in a proactive manner (identify opportunities).
  • Working closely with the entire sales team to insure professional service levels, share & leverage individual talents and create an environment (reputation) that the marketplace views as superior.
  • Properly maintaining all relationship files.
  • Leveraging other lenders, their teams, and outside resources to anticipate and respond to all the member's needs.
  • Supervising and giving direction to staff (if applicable).
  • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

You are a person that (required skills):

  • Has a high sense of urgency and strong decision making abilities.
  • Has previous banking experience.
  • Has extensive knowledge of loan documentation and regulations.
  • Has proven business development and sales skills.
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally.
  • Has a broad knowledge of all bank products and bank affiliates with a strong ability to promote and cross-sell.
  • Is goal oriented and self motivated.
  • Has strong connections to and relationships with referral sources/center of influence in the market.

You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills):

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A background in Private Banking, Trust or related field.
  • Retail lending experience.
  • Local market experience.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Physically you can anticipate to:

  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
