What You'll Do

Hightower is looking for a motivated Business Development Analyst to join our fast-growing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team! This dynamic role is focused on driving new inorganic growth opportunities for Hightower and its existing affiliate partners. You will include the following responsibilities:



  • Serve as a Hightower brand ambassador by upholdingThe Hightower Waycultural elements - Mission, Purpose, V.A.L.U.E. Experience, Commitment and Standards, promoting excellence in the internal and external client experience during every encounter
  • Improve consistency in every client and colleague encounter by embodying the core principles of our Hightower V.A.L.U.E. Experience (Validate, Actively Listen, Leverage Resources, Understand Ownership, Express Gratitude)
  • Partner with cross-discipline team members to support collaboration and promote a positive client experience
  • Identify and source new acquisition targets for Hightower through proactive, outbound business development and lead generation projects (cold-calling, email campaigns)
  • Continually develop a pipeline of potential targets through ongoing relationship management activities with financial advisors
  • Evaluate and summarize M&A prospect information discovered through marketing materials, public filings, meetings & calls, and other relevant sources
  • Increase awareness of Hightower by attractively conveying its value proposition to financial advisors and practice owners
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape through ongoing review of industry publications and periodic published reports
  • Support the M&A team in pipeline and acquisition efforts aligned with our broader revenue and profitability goals
  • Prepare materials for use in business development meetings using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other presentation tools
  • Assess acquisition target metrics including financial performance and operational fit




What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or other related field from an accredited college or university
  • 1+ years of full-time work experience in business development, sales, transaction advisory, M&A, or relationship management capacity
  • Experience with financial services space; financial services or wealth management industry experience
  • General exposure to M&A through prior working experience, internships, or classroom experience
  • Experience building a pipeline and closing on opportunities promptly
  • Understanding in financial statement analysis and valuation modeling
  • Broad knowledge and facilitation of sales cycle / process
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce CRM preferred)
  • Strong drive, proactive mindset, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt to different audiences
