HOMEBUILDERS works with high-risk families involved with the child protective service system. The goal of the program is to remove the risk of harm to the child instead of removing the child from the home. The program gives families the chance to learn new skills, and helps them make better choices for their children. Child safety is ensured through small caseloads and 24-hour service availability.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assess safety, structure the environment and use clinical strategies designed to promote safety.
  • Collaborate with family members and referents in developing intervention goals and service plans
  • Utilize research-based strategies to facilitate behavior change.


3. Participate in quality enhancement components of the HOMEBUILDERSmodel:

4. Administrative and Organizational Responsibilities:



  • Utilize online data management system for all clinical documentation.
  • Comply with all contract requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships


Working Conditions

1. Physical Demands. This position requires a low to moderate level of physical activity. Sitting for long periods of time. Employee must meet minimum requirements for Hearing, Speech and Vision. Hearing.

2. Environmental. Office environment, the community and client homes. Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to domestic environments.

3. Working Hours. Requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Clearances State Police/FBI per state regulations; Child Protection

Valid state driver's license and auto insurance

Qualifications
Education
Masters of Human Services (preferred)
Bachelors of Human Services (required)
Experience
2 years: experience working with children and families (required)
