The laboratory of Dr. Lorraine Symington in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Staff Associate I to support investigations into on the mechanisms of DNA damage repair and genome integrity. The Staff Associate will perform research on the mechanisms of DNA damage repair and genome integrity. Specifically, he/she/they will investigate the mechanism by which replication-coupled nucleosome assembly facilitates the repair of collapsed replication forks. The applicant must have experience in routine yeast molecular methods, including cell transformation, genomic DNA extraction, PCR genotyping, genetic crosses, and Southern blot hybridization.
