AUTOMATION RESEARCH ENGINEER, Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research, to support automation instrumentation and high throughput approaches in the High Throughput Sciences Core Facility. Responsibilities will include hands-on operation and maintenance of the facility's automated liquid handling and readout systems, laboratory information management system (LIMS), and database management; training researchers in the use of automation and data systems and management of laboratory resources, including curation of small molecule, functional genomic and materials-based/nanoparticle libraries.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or biology; at least four years of experience in an academic or industry research environment; laboratory automation and screening experience; data management and/or processing experience; ability to learn new skills and teach others; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment. Seek a detail-oriented team player who is eager to learn and apply new skills and be involved in opportunities to innovate.
