Cranbrook Schools is seeking a Swimming Pool Supervisor for the Williams Natatorium. This is a part-time position working less than 20 hours per week. Hours and days of the week will vary.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Monitor the lifeguards and ensure that guests follow the natatorium guidelines.
  • Be knowledgeable about the emergency action plan, pool facilities, equipment, programs, hours of operation, and pool events.
  • Properly complete required maintenance and paperwork for the facility.
  • Understand the proper opening and closing procedures for the facility including monitoring that patrons exit the pool, locker rooms, observation areas and hallways.
  • Treat members and guests with courtesy and respect and provide guests with accurate information.
  • Help the manager and assistant manager instruct, promote, and facilitate aquatic programs.


Requirements:



  • Must be a competent swimmer and must have the ability to stay calm during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to administer basic first aid and follow emergency action plans.
  • Previous experience instructing, managing, and/or developing programs is required.
  • Previous lifeguard experience and current lifeguard certification is preferred.


Rate of pay for this position is $18.50 per hour.
