About Us The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation's naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy's submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. Job Description Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory team as a Project Manager! This position is responsible for managing projects, project integration, and developing project plans in support fo the Knolls Laboratory Site Operations Community. Typical projects involve on site construction, Infrastructure improvements, or Test development. These efforts require working with a variety of stakeholders and interfacing with all levels of management and government customers. Responsibilities include: Creating and maintaining project team environment Coordinating with Sponsors to develop comprehensive project scoping plans and resource estimates Developing mid and long-range facility plans Obtaining the necessary resources to staff and support the portfolio project Developing cost estimates and resource loaded schedules Evaluating change requests Managing overall costs versus budget Managing subcontracted relationships Identifying and mitigating project risks Interfacing with and integrating the efforts of stakeholders, support personnel, and line management to ensure project objectives are achieved Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience; project management experience required or; Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience; project management experience required.
