Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Internal Audit (IA) is seeking an auditor to join the team! This team provides independent internal assurance services for NNL's operations. IA fulfills its auditing responsibilities by combining a process orientation with compliance requirements. IA performs audits in sixteen broad contractor areas of responsibility established by the DOE Office of Inspector General. These include financial management, procurement, human resources, construction and facilities, data processing and information systems, and others. This Internal Auditor Position will conduct a wide variety of audit assignments to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, efficiency of operations, and perform audits of large-scale project performance and controls. Position responsibilities are:
Fulfilling these responsibilities requires working in an independent, cooperative, and timely manner to plan, assess risks, determine areas for emphasis, select appropriate technical methods including data analytics, develop specialized audit aids, and complete assigned requirements. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with other NNL personnel, including those who may be capable of supporting audit work as subject matter experts. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience or;
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills
