About Us

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation's naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy's submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory includes the Bettis and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories, the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and the Naval Reactors Facility which have proudly supported the nation since 1946. Job Description

The Technical Training Services team is looking for a Technical Training Engineer focused on Content Development. You will join a team that is fast paced, technically diverse, highly visible, and works together across multiple physical locations. This team collaborates to develop and implement NNL technical training, including the Technical Training Curriculum Program, that supports the engineering and science communities across NNL. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years of relevant experience or;
  • MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in developing and/or delivering computer-based training
  • Experience with multimedia
  • Database development/management
  • Project management experience
  • Effective teaming and interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Naval Nuclear technology and/or operations
