Overview

Provides dedicated and focused surveillance at domestic line maintenance operations hubs (i.e. CVG, ANC, LAX, etc.), including A' letter checks. This surveillance will include the Contract Maintenance Provider's facilities, training, tooling, parts storage, ramp operations, adherence to technical data, and adherence to all GMM requirements. Ensures the vendor's quality of work performed and for the continued adherence to the Company's policies and procedures.



Responsibilities

Based on the experience level of the Auditor, they will be required to accomplish any or all of the following job duties. Findings will be recorded and conveyed for corrective action and follow-up as required.

Audits:
    Monitors special process inspections, such as RII, NDT, Engine Borescope, and AOG
  • Ensure CFR requirements and Company policies are complied with by monitoring/auditing maintenance actions: with Airworthiness Directives, DDG MEL Items, ETOPS, Weight & Balance, Service Bulletins, Engineering Documents, Engineering Orders, Fleet Campaign Directives, Major Repairs &
  • Participate with the development and training of new hire auditors.
  • Auditors shall maintain records of audits and findings to document
  • Review corrective actions of audit discrepancies to assure the root-cause is identified and that satisfactory corrective action and preventative actions are effective and accomplished in a timely
  • Accomplish SRC airworthiness investigations as assigned and audits the results of
  • Monitor and observe the Receiving Inspection process at stations, to ensure proper documentation for all purchased, repaired or borrowed parts, in accordance with Company policies, procedures, the CFR's and the GMM.
  • Ensures Contract Maintenance Providers, who perform work on aircraft, are in compliance with applicable
  • Enforces safety regulations and practices and reviews procedures to ensure a safe, reliable
  • Informs the Manager of Quality of any practices, procedures, and/or items considered to be of a serious nature that affect the airworthiness of aircraft, components, accessories, engines, and appliances
  • Able to accomplish Company internal audits, follow-up audits, CASS Action Items, and special investigations as assigned by the Senior Manager of
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Quality, including, but not limited to, any job function listed under QA
  • Enforces safety regulations and practices and reviews procedures to ensure a safe, reliable operation.
  • Informs the Manager of Quality of any practices, procedures, and/or items considered to be of a serious nature that affect the airworthiness of aircraft, components, accessories, engines, and appliances operated.

Organizational Relationship:

  • Coordinates activities with: Technical Operations Departments.
  • Able to accomplish Company internal audits, follow-up audits, CASS Action Items, and special investigations. assigned by the Manager of Quality.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Quality, including, but not limited to, any job function listed under QA Auditor.


Qualifications

  • Four year college degree with an emphasis in Business or Aviation or relevant equivalent years' experience or an A&P
  • 3-5yrs extensive Boeing wide-body maintenance, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and/or CASS experience
  • Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings preferred
  • Must demonstrate solid writing and communication skills and must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Access, and
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge.
  • Must have a valid passport
  • LAX based position: Domestic and international travel is required up to two weeks per month depending on flight schedule.
  • CVG based position: limited to no travel.
