Qualifications

Job Requirements:

The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. The Supervisor works in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care throughout the building. Has a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, ACHA, AOA, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure by Florida State Board of Nursing
  • 5 years clinical experience in acute care hospitals.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Nursing or other appropriate discipline preferred
  • BLS required (AHA)
  • ACLS required (AHA)
  • Certification in specialty area preferred
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills
  • High tolerance for stressful situations
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills and strong people skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
