Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping, A/R, A/P and reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain records of client financial transactions using Intacct.
  • Assist with payroll entry.
  • Verify contracts, purchase orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
  • Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger
  • Reconciles and balances accounts
  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
  • Examine contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement
  • Follows and may establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of standardized Intacct procedures for recording and reconciling transactions, accounting and accounting control procedures
  • May review data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, surplus, income, expenditures, analyze petty cash, accounts receivable and payable and negotiable securities
  • May compute monthly billings to clients
  • Other duties as assigned

The qualifications:

* Certified Intacct Accounting Specialist required

* Associates Degree in IT, Accounting or related field is required

* Minimum 4 years' overall work experience preferred

* 2+ years' experience working with Intacct is required

* 2+ years of transactional accounting experience is preferred

* Overall technical savvy with Accounting Software programs is required.

* Ability to process transactions, reconcile accounts and close the monthly books in Intacct

* Understand and apply GAAP theories and procedures

* Ability to identify and resolve financial (AR, AP, bank etc..) and payroll issues

* Assist in the efforts to manage day to day activities of the engagement and effectively meet and exceed the client needs and expectations

* Enjoy complex and challenging project work and willing to work on a variety of strategic, financial, and operational projects

* Proficiency with MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

* Person in position frequently communicates with staff who have inquires. Must be able to exchange information in these situations.

* Ability to work in a high stress environment

* Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required including a clean driving record

* Minimum levels of auto insurance coverage are required

* Ability to travel locally, work overtime and occasional weekends is required

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
