Product Design Engineer

We have a position available for a Mechanical/Product Design Engineer with strong skills in CAD software. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively through design, engineering, and manufacturing issues in hands-on product development and manufacturing environment. This position is based in our Pittsburgh, PA home office and is a hybrid role. Candidates must be local to the Pittsburgh area to be considered.

Along with engineering duties, this position will be responsible for working with our in-house Design and Development Team to conceptualize, detail, prototype, and eventually deliver a fully realized product.

This opportunity also entails working closely with the in-house Manufacturing Engineering Team transferring product development knowledge and fulfilling manufacturing and assembly needs. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, highly organized, have the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and bring positive energy to a team. You will be working with a cross-departmental team of dedicated professionals who share the company's passion for designing and manufacturing products that enhance public spaces throughout the world.

The position will be responsible for mechanical engineering, design, detailing, the production of complete product package documentation, and communicating project status.

Position requirements include:

• Four-year degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Preferred)
• Proficiency in CAD software both 2D and 3D (AutoCad and Solidworks)
• Related experience in product design/engineering
• Related experience in launching product lines to market
• Compelling interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with precision metal fabrication, metal casting, composites, woodworking, and their respective associated tolerances
• Familiarity with indoor and outdoor lighting solutions (preferred)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills

Seeking candidates with 5-10 years of related experience.
