DeMert Brands is +$100MUSD Hair Care Company which sells leading commercial brands such as Not Your Mother's and Hi-Pro-Pac in the US Mass Market. Key accounts include ULTA, Target, and Walmart.

About the Role:

The Accounting Analyst at DeMert Brands directly reports to the Controller and oversees all Accounts Receivable, Banking Reconciliations, and Customer Deductions. This role will also provide support to our Sales Teams and help them manage their trade spending and days receivables outstanding. Additionally, there are significant opportunities to improve efficiency due to the implementation of a new ERP system. This role has the opportunity to leverage the system to optimize daily requirements, build actionable reporting, and provide management guidance to our sales teams.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



    • Manage the daily receivables from our customers which includes but is not limited to:

      • Daily receipts
      • Reconciliation of deductions taken from invoices
      • Support Sales Teams in managing A/R balances


    • Leverage the new ERP system to improve current processes and build actionable reporting
    • Support the Controller in Treasury activities





Experience and Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will be an action oriented individual willing to learn quickly, identify opportunities, and implement process improvements. Additionally, this individual will need to collaborate with our Finance Team and our Sales Team to manage our receivables processes.

Specifically, the ideal candidate would possess:

  • Comfortable operating independently and possess a solution-oriented mindset
  • Background 2-3 years working in A/R and/or Treasury functions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with external partners
  • Track record of providing transparent input to finance and external partners


Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • CPA would be a plus
