Position Title: Warehouse Specialist
Wage: $21.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Warehouse Specialist position available at a company in Loves Park, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Warehouse Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Carefully pick and pack parts according to customer orders, ensuring each item is correctly counted, labeled and securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. - Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies to supervisors. - Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and condition prior to packing. Report any damaged, defective, or unsuitable items for further action. - Learn how to accurately process shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying intake paperwork and ensuring correct documentation. - Use shipping system software, such as Netsuite (training provided), to manage shipments, track inventory, and generate reports. - Prepare and package items according to specifications, reading measurements and following instructions carefully. - Coordinate with couriers like FedEx and UPS, utilizing their systems to schedule pickups and track shipments. - Troubleshoot and resolve shipping/receiving issues promptly, applying problem-solving skills to maintain smooth operations. - Maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and accountability. - Progress into delivery driving. Will drive a standard box truck. - Promptly and safely deliver orders locally and to nearby Wisconsin border locations. Within work hours, no long hauls or overnight driving. Warehouse Specialist Requirements: - Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles. - Proven experience managing shipping software and computer systems, including carrier software. - Prior or current Sit-down Forklift certification and hands-on sit-down forklift operating experience. Must be proficient in sit-down forklift, no training is provided. - Knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping systems. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Must have ability to read and interpret measurements and intake paperwork. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment - Must be able to follow company's attendance policy. - Must be able to communicate professionally and work well with a team. - Must be able to recognize priorities, and complete tasks within required deadlines.
