Police Officer, Lateral Transfer

The Jeffersontown Civil Service Commission hereby gives notice of an application period for the position of Police Officer Lateral Transfer.

The current starting annual base salary for this position is $96,711.44.  In addition to the base salary, Jeffersontown officers also receive an annual KLEFPF supplement of $4,653, and an annual education/military incentive of up to $1,800 depending on college credit.  Total compensation upon your hire date is $101,364.44 - $103,164.44.  All uniforms and equipment are provided, and officers receive an annual uniform allowance of $1,368.36 after the first year of employment.

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) full years of experience as a law enforcement officer (or three (3) years with written release of any contractual obligation) and meet, or have the ability to meet, the requirements of the Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) Act administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.
