The Education Department invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position to help support and instruct undergraduate students in the newly established undergraduate major in Education & Society (EDSO). Teaching responsibilities will include preparation for the major courses in EDSO, such as Learning Across the Lifespan (i.e., This course introduces theories of learning from different perspectives - behavioral, cognitive, sociocultural, sociopolitical, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence) and/or Education & Human Diversity (i.e., This course explores the neuro-biological, linguistic, developmental, and structural aspects of human diversity). The person in this role will work with the Undergraduate Faculty Director and Department Chair to support undergraduates through their degree program.

In addition, this faculty member will support the growth of the EDSO major, including meeting emerging needs, supporting student and staffing needs, fostering the expansion of program partnerships, and ensuring that the course offerings meet the degree requirements.

This role may also include directing or leading educational programs and/or initiatives within the department, and developing and/or working within educational and/or community partnerships. Collaboration with colleagues across the Department of Education and Gevirtz School of Education is expected and supported.
